"More stars than there are in heaven" Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

Marlene Dietrich
Greta Garbo and John Gilbert
Rita Hayworth
Clark Gable and Joan Crawford
Elizabeth Taylor
Marlon Brando
Ronald Coleman and Vilma Banky
 Clarke Gable and Vivian Leigh
Alfred Hitchcock with the MGM Lion
 Jean Harlow
Marilyn Monroe

I would simply love to spend some time perusing The National Portrait Gallery's latest offering GLAMOUR OF THE GODS HOLLYWOOD PORTRAITS. How divine are these photographs? There is something so fascinating and alluring about "old Hollywood". I think I'd possibly waste days in the Gallery; transfixed by the glitz and glamour of it all.

Pink Lady

Don't you just love this? Such a fabulous ensemble.

Self-confessed Gleek

So, on Monday night my darling husband treated me to a surprise movie date. Imagine my excitement when he announced that we were going to see the Glee 3D Concert Movie! I am a big fan of the show, and often leave the soundtracks on repeat some days. It was amazing! I absolutely LOVED it. There were only a handful of people in the movie theatre but lemme tell you I was busting out my dance moves and singing along to my hearts content as if I was part of the huge crowd in the movie! The 3D-ness of it all made it just that much more exciting, and my eyes didn't get sore or fuzzy once :) Standout moments were definitely Britneys rendition of Spears' "Slave" and also Santana's "Valerie". Brilliant.
And now I hear the Glee stars are to be featured in the September Issue of Vogue. Cannot wait to get my hands on that.

Refreshingly Raw

Photographs by James Houston

I am so happy to have come across these photographs. I find them so inspiring and fresh. My favs are the bottom four. I love the light and shadows and the way the movement comes alive. The movement he has captured is so earthy and grounded and yet so elegant & passionate as well. I love that.

Hot Pink

Photograph thanks to the incredible Nobody Knows Marc

I have recently added a pair of bright red skinnys to my wardrobe and I love them. A dusty pinky pair is also a part of this (small) colour collection. Since seeing this photograph I have been dreaming of adding a hot pink pair.
The search has begun.

Ain't these sweet?

I'd like one of each thank you.  Smiles.

Ballet Zaida

As far as I'm concerned, Oliver Endahl is a dance photography genius. His work is just amazing. He was a ballet dancer himself and has photographed many various major ballet companies across America. Please do yourself a favour and take a look at his website. It tells you more about the purpose of the Ballet Zaida project and showcases galleries of incredible photographs. Candy for the eyes and soul!
