I just love this new collection by Lover. So simple and elegant. The fact that its inspired by ballet is what caught my attention. This white dress in the middle is my favourite.
Perhaps my least favourite thing in the world to do, is washing dishes. If onlyI had a washing up rack like this one - it would make it just that extra bit more exciting, don't you think?
Can you believe its been a week already since this magical day?! Wow. I am still in absolute awe of the whole royal affair. That dress, that DRESS! Only fitting for the dashing Prince Williams'real-life-princess, Kate. If I had had this wedding (oh how I wish I could!) I think my favourite partwould've been the ride on the carriage to Buckingham Palace. Smiling and waving to all the people who have come to see you in your white gown & princess tiara, & bowing your head in a royal salute. Least I forget the balcony kiss. Oh so romantic.
My man & I were browsing the shops of our favourite place,Kalk Bay, when we stumbled upon a tiny New And Old CD & DVD store, hidden away in one of the quaint little lanes. I was very excited to find the soundtrack to one of the musicals I love for only 15 mega bucks!SHOWBOAT is an old classic and a story I enjoyed learning more about at college. Pictured above is the exquisiteAva Gardner. She played the role of Julie in the 1936 movie version of the musical. My favourite song in the show is entitled, "Cant Help Lovin' Dat Man". It has been on repeat on our cd player all week! Here is a clip of the movie version of the song, which is slightly slower but just aswonderful. Enjoy!
Today my beautiful Sister & I made matching purchases. This lovely feathered aliceband from none other than Mr. P.Isn't it just lovely?I think it's veryBlack Swan-ish myself. Think I'll wear it tonight. Excited.
Wowhow brilliant are these pics too? I just LOVE the floaty, dreamy-ness of it all. It's so magical and fairy-like and Caroline Tretini is so graceful. How cool is it that this shoot, for US VOGUE September 2008, featured the boys who starred in the Broadway musical, Billy Elliot?! One of the musicals on my (long) list of favourites that I simply have to see. Smiles.
