Say Wat[son]?!

"Emma Watson, Harry Potter's resident lady friend, may be headed back to the real world for her upcoming Perks of Being a Wallflower, but that doesn't mean she's given up fantasy forever. According to Crazy, Stupid, Love producer Denise Di Novi (during an interview with ComingSoon), the actress is lined up to star in a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with go-to otherworldly director Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, upcoming Pacific Rim) involved. I'm running under the assumption she's not playing the beast.
Del Toro adds the movie to an ever-growing list of potential projects — so don't expect the live-action fairy tale to be right around the corner. But let's hope dreams do come true: Beauty and the Beast could be the perfect project for post-Potter Watson. A big budget spectacle combined with a lead female performance might be exactly what she needs to keep her head above the water in a sea full of up-and-coming starlets. Either she's going to follow in Natalie Portman's footsteps or fade into obscurity. Beauty and the Beast is a step in the right direction."
Could it be true? Wow I am oh so jealous. To be Belle is my dream.
